PICS (Purdue Improved Crop Storage) Bags

In association with the University of Perdue, Polythene Products Zambia Limited was proudly appointed as the sole agent and manufacturer of these bags in Zambia. These revolutionary bags were designed by the University of Perdue with the objective provide a low cost method of reducing post harvesting losses. This is done through its 3 layer hermetic technology coupled with a double HDPE liners. This allows for a simple and low cost method of storing crops for a prolonged period and also allows for the bags to be reused if kept in ideal solutions.
